Bario Rice is one of the finest and best rice produced in the highlands of Sarawak It is grown at an altitude of 1,100 meters, in the naturally cool highland climate temperatures. Bario Red Rice is rich in fibre, iron, calcium, protein, vitamin E, antioxidants and phytonutrients
The rice is aromatic with soft and slightly sticky texture when cooked.
Cooking Instructions
Stove-top Instructions:
Rinse Bario rice. Place 1 part rice & 1 ½ parts of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
Rice Cooker
Rinse Bario rice. Place 1 part rice & 1 parts of water. Cook in rice cooker.
